As a global supplier of components, we are aware of our obligations with regard to current legislation, regulations and directives covering the supply and use of electrical goods, electronic components and associated hardware. We are proud to state that all our products comply with our quality, social, ethical and environmental policies as laid out below.
All components that we supply are fully compliant with the latest RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU). All our partner suppliers are periodically polled to ensure their continued adherence to the latest RoHS directives.
All components that we supply are in line with the latest list of SVHC as identified under EU REACH legislation. As and when additional SVHCs are listed, we will act in accordance with regulations to ensure compliance.
In line with the US regulation and EU guidelines governing the use of Conflict Minerals (Tantalum, Tin, Gold & Tungsten from the Democratic Republic of Congo, or any affiliated parties), DAU Components exercise due diligence in ensuring all of our suppliers comply with the regulations governing the use of Conflict Minerals.
BATTERIES - Take Back Scheme
In line with current regulations and environmental guidelines, we will accept returned batteries for disposal and recycling to our stores. However, we can only accept returned batteries if they are delivered in person, not via post or courier. Alternatively, you can return used or waste batteries to your local battery waste recycling facility. Please check with your local council for the nearest recycling plant.
All our suppliers are required to provide adequate assurance that they operate on an ethical and socially justifiable basis, and provide us with assurance that they do not use slave-labour, forced-labour, child-labour, trafficked-labour or other unethical or illegal methods of labour. Further, we expect and encourage our partner suppliers to operate in a similar and non-discriminatory manner that benefits society and does not cause harm or injustice to any parties.
We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment through our environmental strategy, encompassing the following actions:
• Minimise waste by evaluating all internal and external operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
• Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our suppliers.
• Meet and exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
• Encourage the use of environmentally friendly packaging and a paper-free office, and encourage our suppliers to adopt similar practices.
• We encourage our customers to consider the environmental impact of repeated deliveries, and, where possible, to consolidate deliveries.
